Background
The objectives of this research project are:

Quantify the amount of urban forest waste generated through municipal forestry and commercial tree care operations in urbanized localities of Virginia and North Carolina.

Characterize the fate of urban forest waste generated through municipal forestry and commercial tree care operations in urbanized localities of Virginia and North Carolina.

Examine the interests and perceptions of municipal administrators and commercial tree care professionals about urban forest waste utilization in urbanized localities of Virginia and North Carolina.
A web-based survey has been developed to help answer these research objectives. The survey was administered in Virginia during spring 2014 and will be administered in North Carolina during late–summer 2014.
